2012 Miss NPRA - Emily Clark
Emily Clark is the daughter of Brent and Jan Clark of Tumalo, Oregon. She graduated from Redmond High School with honors in 2007. She then went on to earn both Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees from Central Oregon Community College. Emily is currently a senior at the University of Oregon, working to obtain a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. She was a 7 year member of Horse 4-H, as well as a 2 year member of the Redmond High School Equestrian Team; placing third in Reining at the State Competition. From there, Emily began showing reining and cutting horses and has qualified for the Western Nationals the past three years. Last year, Emily took her love of horses in yet another direction, winning the title of 2011 Sisters Rodeo Queen. In addition to winning the title of 2012 Miss NPRA, she won all the category awards of Personality, Appearance, Horsemanship, Speech, and Knowledge. When she's not spending time with her horses and family, Emily works as a personal assistant and stacks hay with her brother. Her small farm roots have taught her to enjoy the great outdoors and treasure the little things in life.
Emily says that the NPRA embodies a lifestyle she wants to pass along to others. She hopes to encourage children to strive for greatness and follow their dreams.
