2008 Miss NPRA – Alice Monroe

Alice Monroe is the daughter of Bill and Paula Monroe of Warren, Oregon. She is a junior at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon, majoring in Rangeland Management and Ecology with a minor in Animal Science and Crops and Soil Science. Her goals after graduation are to pursue a career working to preserve and maintain forests and rangelands. When she is not studying she plays on the equestrian polo team for Eastern Oregon University polo club. She is an active member in both the Range and Newman clubs on campus, all while holding a 3.0 GPA.

Her first love has always been riding and she currently participates in open horse shows and gaming with her gelding, Riley. Alice enjoys exploring trails and team penning with her family and friends. She got a taste of the rodeo royalty life as the 2003 Columbia County Fair and Rodeo Queen. After that wonderful experience, Alice is eager to take on the responsibility of 2008 Miss NPRA so that she can continue to promote and educate about the sport of rodeo.
